DAY 1 – NEW YORK • MUNICH
Begin your Passion Play journey by departing for Munich. Meals and overnight on board.

DAY 2 • MUNICH
Upon arrival in Munich we are met and transferred to our hotel for the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3 • MUNICH
This morning a guided panoramic city tour by bus takes us to Marienplatz, the lovely Church of our Lady, the Palace, the City Hall with its famous Glockenspeil Clock, and the Olympic Village. The afternoon is at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 4 • MUNICH • ROTHENBURG
This morning we depart Munich for Rothenburg via the Romantic Road. We have a stop in Ulm to see the cathedral and have lunch on our own. Continue to Rothenburg for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5 • ROTHENBURG
Today we tour Rothenburg ob der Tauber the “pearl” of the Romantic Road for a guided walking tour of this picturesque, still unspoiled medieval town with its ancient houses, forged iron street signs, fountains and narrow cobblestone streets bringing you right back into the middle of the 16th century. Lunch is on our own. Dinner and overnight at our hotel.

DAY 6 • ROTHENBURG • TRIBERG
Driving through the dark forest-covered hills of The Black Forest, this morning we will stop in Stuttgart, home to Mercedes and Porsche Museums. We will continue to Triberg famous for its beautiful falls and cuckoo clocks. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 7 • TRIBERG
This morning we visit the outdoor museum near Triberg and have the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 8 • TRIBERG • KONSTANCE
This morning we depart Triberg for Lake Konstance via Schaffhausen and The Rhine Falls. Upon arrival in Lake Konstance we have the afternoon at leisure. Transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.



DAY 9 • KONSTANCE • OBERAMMERGAU
Today we will visit King Ludwig II’s two magnificent but different castles: Newschwantsein Castle (Disney’s fairy tale inspiration), and Linderhof Castle with its cascades and gardens. Continue on to Oberammergau, site of the Passion Play for dinner and overnight at our guesthouses.

DAY 10 • OBERAMMERGAU • GARMISCH
Full day in Oberammergau for the Passion Play. A village in the Bavarian Alps, famous for its woodcarving industry. In the year 1633, the town was stricken by the plague. In desperation the people of the village took an oath that they would stage a performance of the Passion of Jesus every 10 years if the plague would vanish and save their town. The town was saved and the first performance took place in 1634. From 1690 on, the play has been performed regularly every 10 years. The play takes almost eight hours to perform and the 124 speaking parts are performed by inhabitants of the village. The audience is seated in a roofed auditorium while the stage is open-air. Lunch and dinner are included. Proceed to Garmisch for dinner and overnight.

DAY 11 • GARMISCH
Today we will climb Germany’s highest mountain, Zugspitze. This mountain is a great ski area in winter and a nice retreat for hiking in the summer. We will walk along footpaths to enjoy magnificent views. Return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 12 • GARMISCH • MUNICH
On our travels back to Munich we will stop for shopping in Oberammergau. Arrival in Munich will have the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 13 • MUNICH • NEW YORK
Transfer to the airport this morning for our return flight to the States. Arrive home today.
